I've been using Inbox to keep on top of my email since it launched operating on an "Inbox Zero" way of doing things. I've also got plenty of snoozed emails and groups. Now I've found out they're going to be killing this next year and get told this every time I launch Inbox. I think I've only just been told about this as I use Gsuite for my email.

I've tried Gmail again and frankly, it's a horrible experience. It has more bloat, is easier to miss emails and frankly, it is old. It's insane they're killing a product like Inbox without a suitable replacement.

What are others around here using for both iOS and Desktop?

I read about this quite some time ago, so switched back to using Gmail right there and then. I have GSuite and freebie accounts. Not sure what Inbox features Google have integrated into Gmail, but that was what was claimed in the article I read. Inbox had it's pros and cons, and Gmail doesn't have those pros. Google seem to enjoy this kind of carry on. Oh well, it is what it is.

I use the Outlook app on Android for all of my email accounts. Works really well and is available for iOS too. On my desktop I just use the Windows 10 mail client.

Outlook on desktop and Outlook on Android - both work email accounts and Geekzone are on Office 365 though but it does support GMail as well.

I've tried tons of different apps but in the end I just use the iOS Mail app now.  I don't need much from email except one folder to dump everything, and some swipe gestures to apply a command like archive or mark as read or delete.

Outlook. By far the best I have use and still use on all my devices. It provides consistency across all platforms and I can access all my folders and accounts from any device anywhere. I am currently using on Windows 10, MacOS, Android and IOS. On my Linux devices I tend to use the browser version as I find the Linux mail Apps lack finish.

I used to use outlook (IOS), thought it was great.  But a change at work, means that the only application that can be used for work email is now outlook.  And I don't really want personal emails mixing with work.  So back on Gmail now.  Nowhere as good as outlook, but better than stock mail app.

New Gmail app does not give me a thumbnail preview in the inbox listings. I have to open an email to see a thumbnail.

I get lots of images attached to my emails, so a thumbnail preview is very useful to me.

Inbox app shows thumbnails in the inbox listings.

Hope Google improves the new Gmail app or I will looking for another mail app for my Windows 10 PC.

Ive been in the same situation and switched to Outlook for Android.  I actually really quite hate the app.  Its focused/other thing is truely bazaar - it'll stick crap in the focused and put 50% of my real emails into other.   And Ive found the app so damned slow in comparison.  I dont leave data/wifi on all day so when I do turn it on and open the app I expect it to update quickly like inbox did.  But nope, takes AGES..  Like 5-10+ seconds sometimes.  Dont like the gmail app at all.  So Im still looking personally.  (for the record this is connecting to a personal gmail account and a google suite account)

There's a switch to turn off "Focused Inbox". Try it.

I'm boring. I'm using the default MAIL program on iOS.
