We have a client who has recently moved into a new office in Auckland.

The office is already wired with plenty of network points around the walls of the open plan area and the individual offices, 96 in total as far as I can tell from the photos they sent me of the patch panel.
They currently all connect to wifi (all laptops with docking stations) but want to move to the cabling for better speed and reliability.

The problem is the way they have their desks laid out, with 4 desks back to back making islands in the middle of the space, so there's no cables at the desks.

We will be providing them with a network switch but looking for a local cabling company who could install it for us and sort out the best way to get cabling to the desks, of which there are 4 islands of 4 desks each.

Anyone know a good company in Auckland that would take on this small job?

For the last 2 years we've been calling CableNet for structured cabling jobs in Auckland, and they have always been responsive.  Always being....  maybe 5 times total.  That is one complete fitout of an office with no cables, two lots of additional outlets, and two lots of cabling repairs.

If it's just a case of supplying some patch cables and connecting up your network switches, we or any one of a number of professional IT firms could do that for you?  Could be done without logo'd shirts or wearing your shirt.  Or use it as an excuse for a 'work trip' to Auckland if you have rellies up here to visit.  😁

Congratulations on your choice to move to the mainland, btw  I'm a little envious, and hope it is working out brilliantly for you.
