I want to create a web site for my brother for his construction architect business.

I am looking for affordable service which provides,

*Domain name - must have

*email accounts - must have

*Hosting service - optional (planning to host home pc using static ip)

Found a service who provides following services only for USD1 per year

*50GB Web Hosting

*1 Domain

*50GB SSD Disk Space

*Unlimited Bandwidth

*Unlimited Email Accounts

*Unlimited FTP Accounts

*Unlimited MySQL Database

Has anybody used this and what is their feedback? Is there any catch $1 per year?

Any other better and cheaper options are welcome

Don't use them, sign up for office365 and purchase some Exchange online licenses. You can purchase a domain through somewhere like Freeparking and then set it up with o365.

Id be wary of them, cant find any reviews on them. IME you get what you pay for for hosting.

Hosting from home is an option, but only if you're aware of the risks of running servers on the public internet.

Which area are you targeting the business at ? Using a US based host for a NZ company is obviously slower so hosting locally is better option.

Do not use these email services - no control, unsecure protocols. Get yourself a Microsoft Exchange Online account, Google G, or Zoho Mail. This will cost you around NZ$ 70/year. Then use a service like Squarespace.

More expensive but you get a lot better results.

Hi, in support of Freitasm's comments, roll your own email is fraught with security and reputation issues, not a good look for a professional business, use o365 or GSuite.

they have all of what you wanted

namecheap uses google mail

godady uses microsoft 365

I was going to suggest Microsoft Azure.

One can publish the website to an Azure Web App. You can choose the data storage engine of your choice and it is scaleable.

One can also use Azure Front-door to manage app entry. And since one has mentioned ones own domain, One can hook into an O365 Exchange.

There is also Azure SendGrid as an option (have never used this myself - just noticed it) that might help with customer notifications.

Apart from Azure Backup and Cost Management, you can also make use of monitoring and analytics such as Power BI.

From memory, the web-app trial is free and one gets some free credit as well.

Another option, that may be worth looking into and I think is part of Office 365 is Microsoft PowerApps.

SquareSpace with Gmail / Office 365 / Zoho / Fastmail. Don't host at home, too much hassle, maintenance, risk, downtime.
