Hi I look after a few domains, most are .co.nz but this one is a .com all are with domains4less but today I got the following from SRSPlus.com, does this look dodge to you.

The link in the "Confirm" button goes to srsplus.com but GSuite warns me its dodge, any thoughts?

It is common to have to confirm your domain details each year for each domain. I can't say for sure this email is legitimate.

If you have an account with them, login on your browser. Then click the link. It shouldn't ask you to login again. If it asks, do not.

Also if you login to your account it should have a notice about this next to your domain.

Forgot to say, some registrars here just resell from others, so you might not have an account with this one, in which case just clicking the button should be ok to validate the address.

Looks legit to me (used to work there) I know D4L uses SRSPlus wholesale to run the back-end of some of their ICANN/Verisign registrations. Pretty common among NZ-based registrars (from what I've seen) to integrate with a wholesalers back-end for anything not ending in .nz or .com.au as opposed to rolling their own.

If you click the link and it just says something like CONFIRMED or CLICK TO CONFIRM (and doesn't ask for any more info) then at best it's legit and they confirmed the registrant email change, at worst, a spammer has your (now verified active) email.

But yeah... it's pretty sad state that the whole "confirm email address" thing for registrant changes on ICANN domains is often implemented in such an unbranded or untrustworthy way.

Thanks guys, thats what I was looking for a bit of assurance, next stop would have been to ask D4L direct, and that what was in the back of my mind, that D4L wholesale .com from SRSPlus

Cheers

Cyril
