My daughter lost her Google password, and nothing I did would allow recovery. So decided to start a new account - did this and because shes under 13 it pushed to being linked to my account via Googles family link system.

Fine, not a problem. 

Except she cannot access YouTube. It keeps forcing her to YouTube for Kids.

All the documentation I find about changing this, is either old, or for some particular app/system I dont have. Ive tried the Android app and web, but cannot find the sections they refer to.

One bit of documentation said that if shes using anything but Android, then tough luck, youre locked out. 

WTF. 

Shes using Windows. So if I cant find a fix in the next hour, Ill be deleting her new account which she wont be happy with due to the name she selected.

Any ideas ?
