Hi,

I've got access to build a new Recovery Environment from the REBuilder tool that StorageCraft provide, however, I'm not sure if this will work for 4.x images? I do know previous versions of the recovery environment have been backwards compatible.

I am happy to upload the ISO for it for you to test?

OK, Ive got a bootable recovery CD, and can see the backups.

I cant get the HP B110i raid drivers to work though , so cant see the HD's

If I boot up from the SP recovery CD, I can add the drv , but it wont detect the raid drives
If I add the drv's when making the SP recovery CD, on boot I get errors

The raid drivers do work in Win/server recovery mode when I add the driver option, just not in SP

Any ideas ?
I may have to recover to another machine , then image that restore with another program and use that other program to recover to server (god please no)

cheers

Have you tried both 32bit and 64bit raid drivers in SP?

Most likely will need to be 32bit drivers for SP v4.

Try using the Linux recovery environment - I had some issue with an older Acer raid card and the CrossPlatform RE worked a treat

clinty: Try using the Linux recovery environment -
Clint

Thanks for that . Linux Recovery CD works & detects RAID drives

The only good thing out of this is its given the management a scare & they'll be upgrading their
old 2008 server .
