I'll miss how easy it is to have printers follow users regardless of the network they're attached to. Will be a bit more mix-and-match now.

I found this: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/9633006

"Cloud Print, Google’s cloud-based printing solution that has been in beta since 2010, will no longer be supported as of December 31, 2020. Beginning January 1, 2021, devices across all operating systems will no longer be able to print using Google Cloud Print."

The G Suite admins are getting the below email. Another free alternative is PaperCut Mobility which works more reliably anyway.

Ahhh OK.  I googled "google cloud print 2020" and got no results that were obviously related on the front page...  but 10 minutes later I see results starting to pop up. @rhy7s you must have been on the leading edge of this announcement!

I have a couple of kids with Chromebooks...  it will be interesting to see what the alternatives are.  I certainly hope my 3 month old printer doesn't need to be replaced to allow Chromebook printing from 2021.

I also wonder why they have chosen to kill this off....  it's been a fantastic facility, in my personal experience.
