"During the quarter, CERT NZ identifed almost 500 vulnerable Microsoft Exchange email servers and over 100 compromised email servers. The majority of the compromised mail servers belonged to small businesses, with a number of large organisations also affected"

Ransomware attacks at 12 for the quarter?  I don't believe that for a second!  I'd encourage more IT companies to report these.  You can do it anonymously, giving your own details but not disclosing your client.

To me it just shows how under reported IT hacks are. As I have no doubt those numbers are higher.
