I have just promoted two new Server 08 domain controllers, now when the net view command is used the computer description displayed in the remarks column.
As the computer browser service is disabled by default I had to start this first and I can see all the clients on the domain, however very frustrated that cant see remarks.
Any ideas??

Try entering that into the hosts themselves, System Control panel, Computername, computerdescription

I don't believe NET VIEW has the capability to query AD

With the 2003 Domain Controllers this was not an issue I am picking its one of the new security settings released with Server 08
