It's actually a problem in Microsoft's SharePoint server software in combination with IE7.

No. Someone with a big stake on MYOB unloaded and then bought shares on Xero. MYOB has o interests n Xero.

Maybe it's just me,  but other than the title I cannot follow what the thread is about.

As to MYOB -v- Xero ,  I use both and feel both have their strengths and weaknesses.

That said,  I do often get irritated by MYOB's continual money grabbing...

Of course there are more cost effective alternatives than either MYOB or Xero that work well,  such as MoneyWorks,  Infusion,  but for a non-accounting person both MYOB & Xero offer good support and relative ease of use.

I do qualify my answer so as to exclude MYOB Preimer due to it's really lousy network performance and the antiquated buggy MYOB Retail POS software.

The thread appears to be about the MYOB website wanting access to a DLL named "name.dll". The browser rightly blocks such attempts by default. The original poster puts the blame on MYOB for doing such stupid things as trying to access a local DLL.

But as a quick Google search on name.dll shows, this is actually a bug in the underlying server software by Microsoft that MYOB apparently uses.
