Hi All

Is anyone else having issues downloading mail from their google apps account.

I tried to setup Windows Mail for some friends and I set the Ports to 995 SSL and 465 SSL for outgoing butfor some reason it just keeps requesting the username and password.

I am entering first.lastname@userdomain.co.nz as username and the password.

Just keeps coming back. Tried on Outlook too same issue but all my accounts works fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Ryan

I believe the account settings for outgoing gmail is ssl, but TLS specifically. Also ensure that you have enabled IMAP or POP in the user's settings page. Ia quick Google search for "setup gmail in Outlook" should get you going

try these settings

  • Incoming server must be 993, and must use SSL encryption.

  • Outgoing server can use 587, TLS encryption.

Also, you MUST enable POP or IMAP from the settinsg page.

Another reason may be that your account is locked - google for the google unlock captcha (I can never figure out where it's permanent location is).
