While an active AV is something I think should be installed in all clients, I don't run these on my servers - relying on a "not-touching the server for anything" policy first and scheduled scanning processes with non-intrusive tools.

Probably should mention that it effects workstations too.

I was lucky in the sense that the update came down overnight while all the workstations were off at most of my sites have. So when the PC's came on this morning then they got the fresh update and were away laughing.

Great start to a Friday morning though! :P

That may account why my NOD32 update at home gave an error message this morning when it went to update..
