I'm looking for a good hosting provider in the UK (in or around London), and need two options:

1. Shared hosting - Windows based with support for SQL Server 2008

2. Dedicating hosting (can be physical and/or virtual)

I'd prefer suggestions for providers that GZ users are already using.

1&1 is one of the biggest hosting providers in the UK and they have Microsoft shared hosting plans.

My main customer has had a dedicated server with them for about 4 years and all I can say it that just works, I don't think he has even contacted them because of any issue, so I can't say much about their customer service, apart from it's stable :)

I thought Rackspace had operations in the UK? www.rackspace.co.uk for more details...

For a cheap (but so far, excellent) option, look at http://www.kimsufi.co.uk/

They're the budget branch of www.ovh.co.uk

I've been hosting with them for ~2 years and they're really, really good.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!
