Hi All,

I want to know how to add my company and web name to the favicon area of the address bar.  I see a lot of sites do it now, but I can't find any info on how to do this myself.

Any ideas ?

Look at Westpac for example, this is what I want to do, just before the URL.

Thanks

Ester

Just look at the source code for this page and search for favicon. You will see what you need there.

favicon needs to be 16x16 ICO, for iOS home icon, it needs to be 57x57 PNG (not sure how to make it Retina Display compatible, but it is certainly 114x114 PNG).

Then...

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
<link rel="icon" href="/apple-touch-icon.png" type="image/png" />

Favicon or the SSL ID??

I am confused as to exactly what you want.... Do you want to put your equivalent of the little red W and the name in the tab at the top, or do you want the green padlock  and the green box with "Westpac New Zealand Limited [NZ]". The little W is the Favicon, and the name in the tab is the <title></title> of the page. The padlock and green box are the SSL certificate name for the site which is completely different....
