Hi there
As a newby to the technological world does anyone know what technolgy, companies such as NZ Post (the localist) are using to connect local businesses with its customers. They and other companies are very secretive about what technology they have.

What technology are you speaking of? Their mail list, website, applications, data management?

Its a franking machine (or stamp), and often an envelope.
Still, it's better than straws filled with water... thats someone elses Top-Secret technology
