I am looking at buying a .co.nz domain name and as I do my own hosting (previously in AU, first time in NZ) I figure I just need the cheapest price and host it myself.

I am looking at either:
1stdomains $21.50 +GST
or
domains4less $19.95 + GST

Has anyone had dealings with either of them and any problems/recommendations?

Any recommendation of other registrars?

Cheers

Ok I have rethought my needs.

I am after somewhere that I can get a domain name reseller account for NZ domain names.

I would like something like netregistry where I keep all the domains I register and maintain them for clients.

Is there any like this in NZ and not too expensive?

I dont need hosting, just the domain names

hd.net.nz i think are the cheapest for domains - 16.95 +GST. they have a pretty decent backend as well.

Stick clear of them. Just look up old forum posts.......

I know a few people that use Domains 4 Less. I have herd good comments about them.

but do they have a reseller section where I can buy domain names for my customers and they don't contact them?

All contact to the domain owners goes through me.

They have reseller hosting so they may do, not sure though.

Domains4less are good.

Do NOT use hd.net.nz/hostingdirect. As above, less than desirable history as proven by these forums.
