Received an invite to a media event, 24th February, where HP will announce a new data centre in Waikato.

No more information (size, investment, etc) available at the moment.

Would be interesting if they tie it into anything else infrastructure wise eg paper mill or dairy factory for waste heat or combined heat and power situations.

Though having a rather large thermal power station in Huntly and a decent amount of grid offers at least reasonably secure power supply.

Where is the media event, in the Tron?

Except he got the dates wrong. The IBM data centre opens 2nd March, not on the 24th February as reported. I will be attending the IBM opening.
