At last ICANN approves the .xxx domain. Why were people so affraid of it?

It would, at the least, make it a lot easier to filter access to some domains. It will make it easier for some parenting controls to kick in, and more.

Why would you not be in favour of xxx domains (the question is not about about pr0n or no pr0n)?

Regardless of the extension, I'm in favour generally of categorised tld's, as long as they have a measurable audience, which this one does.
