Why not use your ISP's
If you are running your own mail server just let the mail server send it out and it will send directly to the MX of the domain you are sending to.

Its for a service that sends mail from a Kiosk with the logged in users own address as the return address.

Would prefer NZ based for support reasons.

Do you think thats right?? Most Major Mail providers have SPF or Domain Key and if you send from their email address from a random place , it will a lot of time be rejected or end up in junk.

These days most places have web based mail systems (yahoo,hotmail,isps etc) so (IMHO) I wouldn't do it and just let people use their web based email clients to do all the emailing.

Why don't you just set the "fro"m address to one that the kiosk is setup to send via an authenticated mail server for that domain and then set the "reply to" in the email to the user's address?

Bad idea in modern times if your own mail server is hanging off a domestic connection. Many mail servers check against blocklists for known domestic IP ranges.

PM me, we run a dedicated box for SMTP. We'll have to come up with pricing, but shouldn't big a big drama.

+1 one this, also you could use google apps as the smtp server.

Something like:

1: Register a domain eg: youdomain.co.nz
2: Sign up for Google Apps Standard (free)
3: Setup MX records and Google apps
4: Configure kiosk software to use google's smtp server for sending
5: Let the user specify the TO address and Reply-To address NOT the From address
