Looking for free / cheap ftp back up software.

I want some thing that’s easy and I can have running in sync mode to a hdd plugged into the back of our Vodafone router (will let us access it by ftp).

I have 2 XP pro boxes and 1 windows 7 laptop + 2 MacBook pros.

Any one fund any thing that’s any good?

I have tried a number of them they seem to only work with there own server and I want to use my server……

Thanks

Try Cobian Backup

http://www.educ.umu.se/~cobian/cobianbackup.htm

I was using it to push vhd backup images for offsite backup. But now moved to an iscsi solution over the internet.

If this in within your LAN and the vodafone router exposes the HDD via network share why the requirement for FTP?

Vodafone Broadband Complete?

Check Section 3.5 of the manual, specifically: "Accessing the Portable Storage Device through the Samba Function" and "Accessing the Portable Storage Device by Mapping Network Drive"
