Hello people.

I have been a bit of a Geekzone lurker and have been working on a portal that targets those involved in the software development process as decision makers (tech leads, architects, etc).

It uses Silverlight, so I apologize in advance to those that are anti-MS and the preview of the website is at http://www.devenable.com.  The content is very light (which unforunately really hinders its ability to showcase itself) and it is something that I am working on, but I would appreciate any feedback you guys could offer.

Thanks,

Stephen

p.s. (I cleared this with freitasm before posting, so please don't ban me :()

Yikes. All links currently broken, showing a complete stack trace in the error message too! Turn off debug when you deploy, enable custom errors!

I am still busy whiping the egg off my face.

I've just published a new version of the website.  The version you were seeing in Firefox was only what the search engines were supposed to see.  A bit of JavaScript I chucked in for something broke in all the other browsers but IE meaning you didn't even see the Silverlight plugin.

I had debug off in my deployment scripts but commented it out to test an issue in staging and forgot to re-enable it.  I haven't made custom error pages yet as I am concentrating on getting the main website content going, but I will be giving some love to the standard HTML part of the website at some point to improve the search engine experience and give some experience to those that can't / won't run Silverlight.

If you visit the website again you should see a signficantly better experience.

Apologies, and thank you for your feedback.

Using Firefox 7 on windows 7 - went to your site then clicked the back button to come post here but got some error message pop up in a custom pop up instead.
