We all know about blasting blaring tv adds. We all hate preroll internet adds.

Especially while wearing headphones I have started to notice an increased volume level for some pre-roll adds which are noticeably or considerably louder than the actual video. This sucks, especially as it is unsuspecting and the volume control in the video for the add is blanked out during the add

Adblock doesn't work for pre-roll ads. Those are ads played before clips like the ones YouTube and others use.

There are man browser extensions that will block ads in YouTube and those annoying bank and insurance ads from TVNZ on demand. Pity because they don't last long yet the advertisers will try to annoy everyone with the volume.

youtube gives me american ads for some strange reason, i have customized what kind of ads it shows me, maybe there's just no new zealand ads that match my options. not on a vpn either.

It should be illegal for them to o that, if it's not already...

Why should this be illegal?
