I've reviewed the list of forums and this one looks like it might be the one to talk about Tor...at least from a regulatory / policy POV,

As for the technical aspects of Tor, can anyone suggest a more appropriate forum?

Generally, I can't see any forum for discussing computing / network security.

What type of policies? I can tell you it breaks IRDs section 22 of the code and goodness knows what Hippa, Firpa and other weirly acronymed policies will make of it.

Maybe they mean the IRD's IT policies.... ie: connecting to TOR from within IRD network.

Maybe they mean the IRD's IT policies.... ie: connecting to TOR from within IRD network.

That obviously wouldn't be allowed. But illegal? Doubtful. Which IRD code (they are involved with several)? And what on earth are hippa, firpa ?

No restrictions on encryption in NZ as far as I know.

As for the technical aspects of Tor, can anyone suggest a more appropriate forum?

Generally, I can't see any forum for discussing computing / network security.

Tor as a desktop application fits in desktop computing. Maybe as a Linux application in the Linux forum would be more technical.

TOR runs on any platform - so for technical discussions it could fit in IT Pro, Desktop Computing or LAN/Network/Routers (probably this last one).
