New draft EU regulations would force streaming services such as Netflix to allow you to continue to use your subscription even from another country. Secretly this is almost certainly a relief for streaming services who otherwise have to spend a lot of time and effort alienating their paying customers.

Luckily, with the TPP dead, we are no longer forced by treaty to adopt a law that would be the exact opposite of this new EU regulation. I wonder if we can now adopt that as law instead, so we can take geo-unblocking out of the legal grey zone?

My question is whether blinkered Bill is just going to carry on presenting his backside to American corporate interests anyway. He seems determined to flog the dead horse back to life in one form or another.
