Found this on Reddit this morning. It's what we were all thinking anyway and now it looks like it is true.
http://www.zeropaid.com/news/93326/new-zealands-three-strikes-law-was-pushed-bought-and-paid-for-by-the-us-wikileaks

Sorry can't seem to create links on my iPhone.

Yea I saw this on reddit too, funny reading the comments of Americans with the general consensus of "we're sorry for our government being asshats"
I guess it was always suspected by people that could put 2 and 2 together, with our govt salivating at the thought of a free trade deal, we're pretty much America's puppet to do with as they please, case in point 3 strikes law.

Just came here to post the link myself.

Now that we know how much a bought law is all we have to do is:
-save up some money
-lobbying
-reverse this law

The 3-strikes law the US wants got through under urgency, but the law Kiwis want abolishing software patents is on the never-never.

That should tell you and anyone else all anyone needs to know about this government's priorities.

First drafted under Labour, then rushed through by National.

Both parties are sell-outs, yes?
