I couldn't decide where to put this, so picked Android since the Chrome in question is on a Galaxy S10+.

Having had to factory reset the phone (don't ask!) I am slowly going through the process of getting it back to working again the way I had it. One of the things Chrome did before was fill in some user names and passwords automatically. I have checked in the part of Chrome where the Password list is and the information is all there.

However, the next part - putting the information in the boxes when you visit the sites - is not happening.

Any suggestions to get that to work again?

1. have you signed in to chrome

2. if you have under the phone settings - google - password auto fill option (but should be enabled by default)

yeah i know what a PITA after a reset is

I fiddled with the system apps and turned off a few of them and google playstore won't download.

couldn't figure it out and reset phone settings and then reset playstore data

but it turns out I shot a whole day's videos on 1080 30fps instead of 4K

i'm over it though, i'll stop fiddling !

(until tomorrow probably)

You're a genius.

I had not realised I needed to sign into Chrome separately from adding the main Google account.

Thanks! One down...
