Does anyone know much about this tablet? Someone mentioned in another thread that it's the Haipad 701. Is that correct?
They have it for a pretty good price in the sale tonight...

n4: Does 2 touch mean its multitouch? No chance that would then mean its capacitive I suppose...
fahrenheit: Well going by the retail box, I'd have to question that.
I've just come from the Penrose store and although I couldn't get near the tablets to get a good look (too many lolly-gaggers), I did see the boxes and they are not the same as what google shows as the 701 packaging.
It could just be rebranded sure, but I'd want to be certain before ordering one.

Instead of the old aPad box, did it have the new ePad logo on it? With an older IE browser E logo and an android 2.1 on the base?
if so, it's the Hiapad 701 again rearing it's head with the new Telechip 650-800mhz processor. Unfortunately resistive and definitely not multitouch. If PBTech are sellling any for that price, they are making an almost 2.5X Markup on what they paid :)

vulcannz: Mine looks the same bar the case is silver not black (everything else is in the same place). The pbtech ones are M701-R <- R denoting they include an IR remote control. The remote works with media playback and I tried it with Documents 2 Go's PPT playback - it worked fine.
