Wasn't there rumours of the SG3 coming out to compete with the new iPhone? I realise this rumour is now just a rumour and the SG3 is due mid 2012.

Releasing a better or competing phone would be the best strategy I believe!

To save confusion, the apple iPhone should be the only smartphone allowed to be sold.
And the price of smartphones should go up by 20% so that more lawyers can be supported.

The Samsung Galaxy III is mooted to have insane specs. Rumours have it sporting a quad-core 2.0Ghz processor and running Android v4.0.

I'm sure Apple is already planning ways of blocking it from coming to market.

To save even more confusion, Apple need to release the iPhone 5 so that Samsung know what to imitate with their new phone. All so Apple can sue them, so Samsung can deny imitation, then Samsung can counter sue...

I guess as long as it keeps interweb forums busy it's all good.

according to those reports, samsung is very very confident with their case. they are so sure that this will delay the launch or completely block them in those countries.

Apple just protecting their rights, it's that simple. Samsung may just be tit for tat, but if they have genuine patent issues, that's fine too, they should take action. Let civil law resolve it for both companies.
