There is another option for that:
"Tilt to wake screen"
Make sure it's on :)

Oblivian: So far have turned off the wifi option. As handy as it may be perceived, can't get it working well with my hidden SSID, and was using battery a bit faster.

Now, has anyone lose shake to wakeup with 5.1.1 like I appear to have? Gestures are fine.. except the rotate to wake as if you are looking at the time :/

Turned off ambient mode maybe?

Have that off to ensure the watchface turns off when not in use. But previously it use to wake up when you rotated your arm as if lifting to look at it. Not anymore. Now needs the button or doubletap

Where boots?. I seem to recall it in 5.01, but not the new 5.1.1 update (unless its buried away in the gear app on the phone instead). Just ambient which features it but is less than ideal

Good battery now too, I can go most the day and still have it on 40% when I get nearer 9-10pm

So, changed phones this week (impulse motoX special) and forced a reset to sync.

Boom.. rotate screen is back :) and a few other apps that weren't passing API details properly which is a bonus.

Hi,
I have just returned my moto 360 for the second time with a cracked back. The retailer offered a repair but when I queried on my options after the warranty expiry they were very vague commenting that Motorola 'might' repair it for up to another 3 months. The cracked back issue seem to be reasonably common according to Mr Google. I feel this repeated failure is unacceptable for a watch I paid nearly $400 for. It has been with the retailer for a few days now with no response but I feel the device is hardly fit for purpose. I mentioned this to the retailer and requested a  refund which they are 'looking in to'. Has anyone else had similar issues?

Cheers.

Factory strap mount? Biggest cause would likely be after-market. Heard of them putting strain on the mount points.

Nope, it is completely stock. It came back with a new leather strap after the first repair for some reason.

I am toying with the idea of getting the Moto 360 v2. Reviews look good and at $299(US) or about NZ$450 it's not too bad. And Youshop shipping would not be expensive.

Anybody have any experience with one yet?  I thought I would go for a basic model with no additions and get a metal band from Ebay.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I have a Moto 360 v2 and it's a really good option. I moved from Apple to Android recently so sold my Apple Watch and swapped to the 360 v2. Lasts the whole day and haven't ever had it crash on me.

The vibration is a bit noisy, but I think that's me reacting to differences from the taptic engine.

After a second cracked back in 10 months I've returned my m360 to the retailer and requested a refund. Motorola refused to supply a refund, the retailer was very good and refunded the purchase price, I guess my comments regarding solicitors must have helped. 360 v2 on the way from clove.co.uk. I can't wait to get it.

Well I have decided to get one, the key turning point being my daughter said she would gift it to me!  I had a choice between that or a iWatch and the choice was a no-brainer!

I think I will order from Motorola direct, ship it to Youshop or Shipito and then have them ship it here. For the base model at $299 it should hopefully fall under the GST barrier. I don't like the leather bands but I will get a metal one from Ebay.

I tried that but stumbled at the billing address for the CC. No options for outside the US. $299USD is gonna be over $400nzd so you might get stung. Good luck.

I have a US credit card and US billing address so that won't be a problem.  If they won't ship to Youshop then I guess I ship to my daughter in Calfornia (and pay the local sales tax) and she can put it on a USPS Global Priority Bag for me and send it over. But it's hard to get daughters to do things for you when they are so far away and you have no leverage anymore :-( And they have good jobs and don't need your financial support.

Well this is new...

Its been on charge in the cradle for a few days (forgetful morning or not wanting to risk damage during the day with tasks..)

Screen burn. Seems the charging circle has been doing an always-on thing and now theres a nice ring around it :(

Hopefully as they are less excited will fade but doesn't bode well. I was cool with the light blue ring, but wasn't expecting it to toast in.
