NikT:
freitasm: Great news. Using my M9 again, now that it seems my handset is "approved" (I am using an AU version).

Should we hold updating the M9 until Semble whitelists it? What's the process?

HTC has to date worked directly with Semble to provide software for testing at the same time it has been supplied to the network operators (As has Sony). I'm unsure if this is still the case as there have been some changes to their local representation recently, will inquire.

Thanks... Yes, I know about the local changes. Interesting times.

And what makes you say you can't use it if you have a custom Rom?

It won't work if yours don't have SIM Alliance API, and won't work if the device is rooted.

I see. anyway, if it is worth it for you to wait for such a long time for updates, it's fine by me :) custom Roms are like a disease, I started years ago and now I can't stop, I have them with every phone I get.
