I got a refund from them when they didn't supply a OnePlus 6T in time.

My $40 store credit has just come through. Unfortunately it expires in three months.

Balinor:

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a full refund from DSE if you've ordered but they haven't dispatched the product?

I don't think this will be a problem at all.

Has any of those that ordered from dick smith had their phone end up stuck in the "Held at Export Hub Due to High Value" since the day it shipped?

I was really hoping for a Christmas present to myself with this one but it looks like it's going to be a slow shipping journey for it.

Yep, mine is there since 9am yesterday. The tracking page doesn't say where this hub is but I assume Hong Kong.

In answer to the thread title (and a stuck record warning)

BigAppleBuddy

Fantastic communication. All questions answered quickly.

18 days from placing the order to having it in my hand. 2 days of that was waiting until the US$200 promo discount was available.

Same here, I asked Dick Smith about the length of time at the export hub and they explained that it was to ensure they had all of the required paper work for NZ customs so here's hoping it gets through that part relatively quickly (minus the whole week before xmas factor wink)

And yet...if you ordered something similar from the USA, it would just go on a courier and be with you in mere days, paperwork done automatically....

Mine is in the country now! At "Customs held for inspection and clearance" since 8:50am. So there seems to be a reasonable chance of it arriving this week as long as DSE has done the paperwork.

So is mine, since 8:36 AM. However googling omniparcel "customs held" doesn't fill me with confidence for a swift customs clearance.

Hi all,

Looks like we're all on the same boat. Awaiting a Pixel 3 XL as well - those dates match with mine, so they must have sent them all at once. Currently Omni Parcel noting, "Customs held for inspection and clearance" 8:53am December 17th.

No update as yet. I imagine it's madness at Customs and at every Courier business in NZ at the moment.

Hopefully just a formality and tax/duty is all in order!

Cheers

Ash.

Customs cleared at 2:33PM today. Still no real tracking number or indication of which courier company is actually handling the package but hopefully it will be here Thursday or Friday morning!
