brownie112: Hopefully this will give you peace of mind, battery tests are very surprising: https://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-Tests-Handy-Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Test-Review-31196893.html#-80949954
The tldr version: s21 lasted 6:58hrs, s22 lasted 8:13hr. S22+ 9:46hr, s22 ultra 9:53.
charging time took: s22 1:38hr, s22+ 1:15hr, s22 ultra 1:30hr.
One thing to note is the germans have the exynos version while we get the snapdragon, so there may be some differences but hopefully if this german site is accurate it indicates that the s22 will have better battery life than the s21. Hopefully we get some more test results from other reviewers soon.
I'm pretty sure we're getting Exynos in New Zealand, we have in the past.

Nope, we're finally getting Snapdragon, as it looks like from the Exynos launch they are having teething issues. Looks like Europe is only getting the Exynos for now.
Samsung is remarkably cagey about speccing a specific processor on their site, but the likes of JB-HiFi have listed the Qualcomm SM8450 under the details tab.

We are getting the Snapdragon version this time round due to chip shortage on the Exynos version as confirmed by someone earlier in this thread

Thanks. Looks like you are right: "In New Zealand, the S22 range will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor instead of Samsung's new Exynos chip, which will be used in some overseas markets." https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/technology/2022/02/samsung-galaxy-s22-phone-range-launches-in-nz-february-25-starting-at-1299.html
This year looks like the exynos has caught up performance wise to the snapdragon so not sure which one I would prefer.

Every year there is talk about Exynos catching up with Snapdragon but every year it disappoints, so I am more than happy to go with Snapdragon this time :)
For those thinking about cancelling and re-ordering, the process is seamless via your online account and the refund it processed within 15 minutes. I can see the refund already on my cc.

Can you get the GALAXYS22 code to apply? I had to move to an entirely new account as it just says it's invalid whenever I'm signed in, presumably it's 1 per order. Just worth checking you aren't getting stung an extra $200 as I only noticed it got take off at the payment page.
I went down the Education Store route so no codes for me this time.
Saves me having to on-sell the freebies.

I'm happy with my pre-order! That is at least 3 reviews now showing battery life isn't much a concern, phew!
everettpsycho: The buds pro came back in to stock this morning so I've cancelled and reordered.
When I was trying to place a new order while on the phone with samsung and the code wouldn’t work, the rep told me the $200 code could be re-applied to a new order once the old order was confirmed cancelled however I didn’t want to cancel before placing the new order (because stuff kept going out of stock) so I used my account to reorder then cancelled the order under her account. The next day I decided I also wanted to get an S22 so tried using her account but the code wouldn’t work so I also had to make another account. Even now, days after the cancellation and refund coming through I still can’t reapply the code under her account.
everettpsycho: The buds pro came back in to stock this morning so I've cancelled and reordered. Had to switch to a new account as the $200 code wouldn't apply to my account again. Already got my original order refunded as well.
The new email didn't have an account set up so I'm not sure if I'm now eligible for the 5% rewards. Might have to love chat them but the orders not even showing up now I've made the account after making the purchase.
did your delivery date change? My order says shipping 24 feb, someone said those ordering now are getting a shipping date in march?
to get the 5% you had to tick a box. When ordering there were several tick boxes, one for agreeing to their t&c’s, one to accept marketing email etc, one of those tick boxes was also to get the 5% rewards. If you log into your account and look at your order, it should state the rewards you will be getting.
also from reading how their rewards program works it looks like the rewards come through 2 weeks after you’ve received your products, presumably to prevent those who return their orders from getting rewards.

I hope you’ve got large ears, as these are not the most comfortable things! Six months in to owning a pair of these I still pine for the comfort of my old gen1 Buds - the Pros are a very different shape; I found them pretty uncomfortable, and found that even with the smallest tips they regularly fell out. Luckily memory foam tips from AliExpress solved that problem, but they don’t fit well in the ear cavity thanks to their bulbous design (something I’d read prior but took a punt on).
