i just gave my One in for inspection yesterday. It had a bit of a gap on it. Warehouse stationery said that they have to send it in for inspection. I told them that the gap issue is quite well known. Here are a few more days without my HTC One.

Hi Guys

Is anyone getting issue with weather location, everynow and then my weather location, comes up as current location instead of the correct location eg.wellington? I have tried restarting the phone but still the weather shows current location only?

Any ideas why?

No issues here. Check your settings - there is a setting to fix your weather location.

It seems like retailers are no longer willing to exchange the device for gap issues.
When I bought the One a month ago, I found some gaps on the top, and demanded a new one on the spot which they happily provided.
But yesterday when my friend bought it from JB-Hifi, we asked for a new one, again due to gap issues, and they simply said they need to send it to HTC to verify whether it's a faulty one or not. They tried their usual BS as to how it is a part of the design.
Said it would take at least 2-3 weeks until they hear back from HTC.
We argued for a bit and at the end, got a refund (within 48 hour rule).

Needless to say, my mate went straight for GS4.
HTC really needs to improve their QA. It's been months since the launch, and their excuse for "first batch problems" doesn't work any more.

ahh...i hope its not going to be 1-3 weeks. I dont think i would be able to handle that much of a delay.

No issues here. Check your settings - there is a setting to fix your weather location.

I have check the settings and my current location is ticked. But i still see only current location and not the location name.

I have check the settings and my current location is ticked. But i still see only current location and not the location name.

I have seen this bug on my phone. It sometimes doesnt even pick up my location at all. I think it is a bug.

Go to settings and turn off fast boot then reboot the phone. Since then my location shows correctly. Forums suggest it's a bug.

Anyone on 2degrees having a problem with 3g network?
Once it loses 3g, it falls back to 2g then it never comes back to 3g (i.e. hangs on 2g no matter where you are) unless you turn airplane mode on and off.
Anyone having a similar problem? Not too sure if it's the bug in the OS or the handset problem.

I've had that on Vodafone, doesn't bother me to cycle airplane mode.
