I used to use tasker, but it's waay more annoying to setup than "trigger".
I use it to start google play music the moment it detects my car stereo.

I personally feel that tasker can do everything that these other apps can do, but i am not sure if they can do everything that tasker can.

ajobbins:
mattwnz:I don't have any issue with the screen on the s3, and it is better than the iphones in terms of colour and blacks I find. It is pretty cutting edge technology. The advantage of pentile is that supposedly it offers a better life for the screen.

It wasn't like your display dying before you replaced the phone was an issue anyway.

iPhone 4/4S display is 330 ppi but the S3 is only 306 ppi. Take into account Pentile and your luckly if you have an effective PPI rate much above 200. Comparing say a photo side by side on the S3 vs an iPhone, the iPhone (to me) is clearly a far superior screen. I've had others agree when the two are side by side. Each to their own, tho.

I find the colours of the S3 over saturated - like when you go into a TV store and they have cranked the contrast way up. There is also a very obviously flicker in the screen when viewed in bright sunlight.

I think the S4 screen is much better then the S3 screen, Also even though they may seem over saturated, theres different screen modes you can use like adapt display. I believe professional photo tries to give more accurate colours

The S5 firmware has been released so a lot of new stuff starting to surface. The new S S-voice apk is avaiable here on XDA will work on any Touchwiz 4.2.2 firmware. Apparently better than the current one

I'm on the same Bacha and battery life hasn't been better to be honest. I'm itching to flash something else but everything is working fine and not interested in upgrading bootloader and tripping knox if I don't have to.

Try Greenify if you don't already have it and hibernate the likes of Facebook and others that keep the phone from going to deep sleep.

theres another two updates but only minor sp you are fine. Have you tried Wanam's Adam kernel its very good for battery life no flash and dash stuff just speed and battery.

@Tim Shostock is very good and the only Touchwiz Rom that I know of that you don't need to have new bootloader with knox

I'm still using Danvdh's GE Rom. Battery life has been great, no lockups, random reboots or anything of the sorts. I can't see any reason why i'll change to be honest.

I think pretty much all the tw 4.4 custom ROMs will work with the old bootloader. Think the only issues with running the old bootloader is not being able to charge while the phone is turned off.

I have run echo and goldeneye. I prefer goldeneye due to its more stock approach to be honest. Couple that with ktoonz kernel with some tweaks, it's not too hard to get 4hrs+ screen on time.
