Did copy paste work before? Try going to s memo, open new note, paste object, chose clipboard and clear/delete the clipboard history.

If you are rooted then try
1. boot recovery (CWM) > advanced > wipe cache
2. reboot phone > Root Explorer > delete /data/clipbord/*
3. reboot recovery again > advanved > fix permissions
4. reboot phone > it's fine

Hope it will fix the issue.

I'm not rooted. So just tried the clearing of the clipboard via S-NOTE. Thanks for the tip. It doesn't crash everytime. So will have to monitor it for a while. Cut and paste has always worked. But the reboots are kind of frustrating.

Yep just tweaks. I haven't noticed anything negative like battery drain which I have heard could be an issue.

I have a Note2 from Expert Infotech, N7100, and Jellybean 4.1.1.

Is there anywhere I can download 4.1.2 for it? I tried using the phone's software update feature, but no luck. It says it has the latest updates.

Samsung does not send updates to phone directly. So it depends on country and network provider when they want to release the update. Since you got the phone from parallel import, the phone may be for different country or different service provider in NZ other than Vodafone who has not released the update yet. Either you can wait for the update to be available or download different rom from sammobile site and update using Odin. Just make sure you download the rom for correct device model.

Mine is a 7100 from expert infotech. It updated earlier this week. I just happened to leave it on connected to wifi all night and it notified me the next morning. The native flow keyboard had improved. There's a new multi window toggle in the notification slide replacing the sync toggle

Mine's left on wifi all the time, since I often move between four sites with wireless access, and I haven't seen an update yet. I don't have it on auto update, but I tried a manual search and was still advised no updates are available.

EDIT: Swiftkey is the best keyboard I've used on any Android device yet. I got the pro version- $2.50, and it can sometimes suggest/predict my entire sentence saving me about 1/3rd the typing. Well worth a look if you hate typing on qwerty or just want easier typing on your phone/tablet/phablet.

Have you tried the stock Android Jellybean gesture keyboard? Have been using it for a couple months now and it's pretty amazing. Was gonna give the new Swifkey a go, but am pretty impressed with Googles one, so just gonna stick with it.

Here's a link to the apk if anyone's interested in trying it. http://d-h.st/BsH

Does anyone know if the Vodafone N7105 has the ability to turn LTE off?

I want to upgrade my S3 to a Note II but I've read a bit saying that the constant search for LTE can drain the battery.

Sorry if it's been answered already in this thread... My browsers keep crashing trying to read other pages.

I'd say it's likely. I can choose to set GSM only or WCDMA only or Auto for both. GSM only gives me 3g, WCDMA gives me HSDPA with the icon showing H+ when I actually use internet, 3G the rest of the time.

Looking at my speedtest history, I've had 8meg/2.3meg previously using the mobile network, 1391 down today and 3 meg up, and two wireless LAN tests at 9.3/1556 and 5/1.5 Mbps down/up. I've previously done a test that got 17Mbps IIRC.

From the Sammobile site: HSDPA?: Yes, HSDPA 42 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps. LTE?: No.

I don't think I'll need the higher speeds of the N7105, although it would be nice, but an extra $200 for only that difference? Not worth it IMO.

Yes I have a 7105 and it has the option to just select GSM/WCDMA (Auto). LTE/GSM/WCDMA (Auto) is also an option as is GSM only or WCDMA only.

Fantastic, thanks. One oversized phone purchase coming up.
