Moto G on the way for the mother in-law as I type. I'll get a couple of weeks with it before she takes possession, should be interesting.

Anyone ordered from Clove/Handtek? Are all the bands correct for Vodafone/2degrees here? Was the only thing that stopped me pulling the trigger and buying one from the UK. Went with the lumia 720 from the warehouse, rung them yesterday to find out what was going on as I have not seen the phone yet and they say the order has not even been marked as looked at let alone ordered. If they can't sort it out, I am going to get one of these I think.

Yes, I have one sourced from Clove that works well on VF, both bands covered. And HD Voice too.

I purchased from Clove, fine for Voda/Telecom but not 2Deg as lacks 2100 3G. No 4G on this handset either, if that makes any difference to anybody.

I'm pretty sure that 2100 3G was present in the Clove model, this differs from their website, but matches the bands listed on the box IIRC

From Motorola's site:

Global GSM Model:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)
US GSM Model:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ up to 21 Mbps (850, 1700 (AWS), 1900 MHz)
CDMA Model:
CDMA/EVDO Rev A (850, 1900 MHz)

Global GSM has 850/900/2100, so is all go for NZ.

Ah, even better, I thought it a little odd to be missing that band.

This handset NEEDS to be ranged by NZ telcos, who must stop selling the absolute trash that currently comprises low-end Android.

Agreed, people who've seen this phone don't believe the price. For most, it'll do everything they need, perhaps sans 4g which is why it's not a regular for me. Perhaps that's why they're holding back, but at this price point, Nokia is the only one doing it right in NZ IMO.
