Picked up smart prime for my mum great value for the price

Picked up 32gb SD card
Can't find anywhere to change camera storage to the SD card
Vf UK forum has posts with the same issue. The only solution
mentioned is to manually copy photos and videos to the SD card
and delete from the internal storage, surely this can't be true

She's never going to be able to cope with that

I suggest you read through some earlier posts in this thread, as this topic's been discussed quite a bit.

I recall one poster's answer was to use an alternative camera app that enabled saving to SD.

Dairyxox: What about the camera, compared to your S5?

Maybe the S3 had a really good camera?

My wife has pointed to this as the only downside compared to her old work S3.  The photos don't appear as good on the smart prime.

Totally sold on this phone now though, we've had it about a month or so now.  Working well and have upgraded the mother inlaw to one as well, and my mum probably shortly also.

Really onto a winner there Vodafone.  First phone I've got excited about in a long time, and it brings the smart phone capability to the masses for a great price.  Android 5 is a surprise bonus in a phone of this price range, and is matched well to the phones performance, so it's not new software dumped on slow hardware.  Thanks.

I borrowed one of these on Friday night to use as a temporary phone. I have to say I'm amazed at the performance for a $149 device.

My main two gripes about it are a terrible torch (it's something I use regularly) and the annoying rough edges around the headset speaker which are quite rough on my fingers if you swipe down from the very top of the screen.

Thanks Jonathan 18, I should have thought of a alternative camera app!

No worries - this was the post mentioning a specific app that works:

MurrayM: I've found a new camera app that allows me to save photos directly to the SD card, so it's definitely possible in Lollipop.

Which camera did you end up going for? I'm also having a look around at a SD enabled camera for mine.

Cheers,

G

I'm currently using "A Better Camera" which does what I want.  I haven't had a really good play but it seems to have lots of options and definitely lets you save photos to an SD card.

Picked this phone up today. It's honestly so amazing. I got it for $129 at warehouse stationary. I will be unlocking it on Monday so I can use it on Skinny.

I'm honestly surprised that a phone this cheap is this good!

Just got one of these, and unlocked it to use with Spark. It doesn't work with Spark 4G in Tauranga, because its 700mhz only here, but this was expected.
So far I'm very impressed. If someone didn't know they might think this was a $500 phone.

Question: Does anyone know how to remove newsstand from when you swipe right in the home screen? (I'd rather have google now cards)

Thanks. I knew this would work, but was hoping there would be a way (change a setting somewhere) without changing the launcher.

Do you know what the launcher is that this phone uses when stock?

EDIT: Thanks MurrayM! This is what I was after.

Can anyone recommend a cover to add a little grip without adding much bulk?
Thanks :)
