Is it worth the iphone price?

OK well another few hours with it, and the cracks are starting to appear. 

It's my first stock Android device, I never owned a Nexus before this, and some of the lack of included software is annoying. 

The only email app is the Gmail app, so my exchange email is mixed in with my other gmail content which I strongly dislike, the app itself is awful compared to the Samsung Mail app and a far cry from Apps costing $10.

Screenshots need to be taken with the power button and down volume, which are very close to each other and on the same side!

Once you take a screenshot, you can't find the freaking thing, despite a walkthrough I found describing it (in the google drive app but it's not actually there). There is no "gallery" app like the Samsungs have, which means downloading a third party one.

You should have an icon representing each mail account at the top. slide the 'big' one right and you should cycle through individual accounts in doing so. Poor explanation sorry but hopefully you get the idea.
• Screenshots can be found in Google photos by again sliding in that left hand menu and choosing 'Device Folders'. Also, Photos is awesome!

I am probably biased though, I love my stock!

Yeah it isn't that discoverable sadly, I did exactly that for the longest time. But you can literally 'swipe' the big circular icon on the top left. Swipe it right and you should quickly change account. Saves you from the dropdown!

As mentioned earlier, I have owned well over 100 phones, most of them Android, of which 50+ would have been various brands of Flagships, and I can tell you, without doubt, I will miss it. 

 

If that's 100+ phones since the early days of the mobile phone, let's pick 1996, that equates to around six new phones each and every year for the last 20 years, or a mere 70 days with each handset before moving onto the next one.

But, if that's 100+ phones since the release of the iPhone, 2007, we're talking only a mere 36 days with each phone over the last 10 years.

Off topic, I know, but, either scenario, that's a lot of phones! (-;

Yeah, one on trip to Hong Kong a few years ago (quite a few now I realize) I bought 9 phones back, played with them for a day or so each and sold the 8 I didn't like as much. My first phone was a Nokia 8110 (Which I LOVED). 

Perhaps a little misleading to say I've owned 100 phones (In so far as it infers I spent a lot of time with each). Some I just had a few days and then didn't like and sold on. 

I have a photo somewhere of me sitting in my lounge with them all on the floor in front of me.

Reading lots of Pixel reviews recently has confirmed that it is probably not worth upgrading from the 6P.

 

I had the 6P for a fortnight I forgot about that! I'd agree, this Pixel wouldn't be much of an upgrade. The 6P is a fantastic phone. I let it go because I wanted a phone with IR Sensor.

According to most reviews - yes.

My wife has had several iPhones. They are generally great phones and they seem to have good resale value but I have two strong dislikes with them.

File management is far easier on Android. Even something as simple as custom ringtones is a complicated procedure requiring emailing a sound file, renaming it and using iTunes to put it into the right place.

The big one for me, which will not apply to many, is that I switch APNs often (work and public). This is very simple on Android but on iOS there is only one APN.

I do too. I also love telling people that I am usually 2 Android versions ahead of their "locked" phones.

All of the apps I use are either free or cheap enough to keep me happy.

Regardless of device, I highly recommend making the $20ish investment and buying Nine. Best mail client I've used on a phone hands down, nothing comes close.

My wife has Nine, she thinks it's ok not amazing, I felt much the same way when I tried it. I uninstalled it in the end. 

I always keep my work email and personal email in different apps

Inbox for my personal account (google apps account) and outlook app or samsungs knox email for work

Reason I do this is because i like the calendars / emails etc for work totally away from my personal email/calendar and also remote exchange/device wipes can be a pain if your exchange/IT admin person does not know what they are doing.
