mrgsm021:

Has anyone received Android 10 updates on their 7/7Pro yet and what your thoughts were?

Still waiting on my 7Pro

My 7 Pro I brought over from Canada didn't get any update OTA so I used the Oxygen Updater to get Android 10 and I've had no problems so far. Loving dark mode at the moment.

Anyone got any info on when the 7T and 7T Pro will be in stock in NZ?

I noticed Dick Smith has them available but they claim to not include the Warp charger and they are much pricier than other NZ importers (considering 7Pro prices).

the warp charger wont be included because it doesn't have a nz plug on it.

I know PB tech have been giving out an OPPO one with theirs (previous models)

My 7 pro came with the packaging sealed with a UK warp charger and then an additional Oppo fast charger.

Got yours from PB?

I'd prefer to buy it from them as they seem to include the Warp charger and have a 24month warranty.

Perhaps there is some regulatory reason for not including the Warp charger, but it's one of the main selling points of the OP line and having to purchase it separately doesn't seem cheap or sensible.

Yep PB. I'm sure someone from there can confirm if that's still the case.

I see MightyApe are now retailing the OnePlus 7T. No mention of parallel-imported or official NZ stock though, just a 1 year warranty.

PB tech is same price and 2 yrs warranty. They advertise themselves as OnePlus only authorised dealer so probably safer to go there

I'm not actually looking to be honest, I just thought it was interesting that they were ranging it since, as you say, PBTech was the only official distributor in NZ and MightyApe didn't state parallel-imported. Given that it only just popped up 2 days ago, its possible MightyApe are onboard now as well.

MightyApe is more-or-less as reputable as PBTech (maybe without the latters questionable sales tactics), so I wouldn't expect them to be trying to pass off parallel-imported stock as official. But it doesn't say either way either.

Guess I shall eat some crow then, because they confirmed via support request that it was indeed parallel-imported. Don't know if they are required to explicitly state so, but it seems a touch disingenuous to not state anything.

Hi everyone, long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I bought a OnePlus 7 Pro over a month ago from Noel Leeming, which came with a Samsung NZ/Aus power adapter, as well as the US version of the Warp charger. I've been using the NZ plug, and while it's much slower than what I'd get from the Warp charger I've been happy with it. Though today a workmate told me he bought the same phone and is using the Warp charger to charge the phone using a travel adapter similar to this (https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/televisions/accessories/cables-adaptors/endeavour-enta-1-international-travel-adaptor-for-nz-au/prod150645.html) - sorry, I couldn't get the link to work. Could anyone please tell me if the one I've linked to (or a similar one) would work safely with my OP7Pro, utilising the US Warp charger? Thanks :)

its not recommended to use a travel adapter for a long period of time, though many do.

personally i would be asking Noels to provide you with a charger that is of similar performance to the bundled one but with a NZ plug. i know OPPO make one that works as thats what PBTech give you. they have sold you a device that does meet the specs of what they sold you.

Hi all,

I've had the One Plus 7 pro now for a couple of months.

Just wanted to know if any one else has issues with mobile network connectivity.

My issue is that while my phone shows I'm connected to the mobile network (Vodafone), it seems that I'm not actually connected as I miss calls, messages, notifications etc. The only way of resolving this for me is to turn on flight mode and then turn it off after a few seconds.

This seems to happen everyday as I get asked why my phones off when people try to call me or I try to send messages which seem to be keep getting bounced.

If anyone else has had this issue or has any solutions that would be great.

Thanks
