WanaGo:
I really hope all the cell features work here in NZ!
I am quietly confident they will...
Thorak:
First thing I test, I'll see if any of my staff are on Vodafone (I ain't calling them One NZ) and 2D and chuck their sims in
Neat, that would be great. Yeah I am with "One NZ" lol - so would be very handy info.

In the box we have a cable, sim tool and amazingly, a charger (however it is American).
Initial thoughts, she purdy, and very heavy. Feels really nice in the hand, heavier than my Xiaomi 17U, no lens rattle unlike the 17u. Back finish feels really nice and firm.
Awesome. Did it come wrapped and sealed?
Let us know how you get on with connectivity!
Drop any questions and I'll answer as I can.

Yep completely wrapped and sealed, box was unopened.
Asks for eSim setup during the process so that's active.

What currency and price amount did giztop put on the customs declaration form?

I still haven't seen one, nothing was on the box
I think once you paid the customs tax $2.21 you should get an email and you can automatically get more details about what the amount giztop declared. I think once the package is delivered you either go on the tracking link and automatically get sent the amount giztop declared.
I can’t remember the process on how you get them to send it but I remember I had to press a link either from email or on the DHL tracking site before they automatically sent those extra details. The file was a zip folder where they send you 2 files. One with the custom import duty of $2.21 and the second file was the commercial invoice
Phone all set up, went smooth as you like.
Think the Xiaomi is slightly nicer to hold in the hand, however the lack of lens rattle is lovely.
VOLTE is working on Spark I am pleased to say.
Lovely, how about 2D?

Good to hear VOLTE works, on Spark at least.
I am not familar with the Xiaomi lens rattle, but that doesnt sound like fun. Is it nicer in the hand due to weight balance, or something else? Does the X9 feel like you are going to drop it or something?
Was there any form of phone case in the box? I see Giztop has a few official options you can buy - Did you get any of those?
The US adaptor that came in the box, what sort of wattage is it? Given they are all switchmode, it should work with a basic adaptor and will handle multi voltage/freq no problem, but stick out of the wall horribly sadly.
Curious what call quality is like, compared to other phones you have. If the sound quality is good, and if the microphone quality on the other end sounds good too. I remember seeing some reviews early on about them being average, but havent seen more on that subject for a while, so maybe it was fixed?
Any updates waiting for you when you turned it on, or was it fully up to date?
WanaGo
I had a look at my emails again and it was before it was delivered but after you pay the $2.21.
The subject title of the email is: Support Documentation for AWB: (your tracking number without the brackets)
In the email it should say “Click here to access your documentation” and I think this is the link where you can access to your full documentation of custom tax $2.21 and commercial invoice and then they will send you another email saying the documentation is ready and then you press the link and can download the zip folder.

Chucked in a staff memebrs 2d sim, can confirm VOLTE was there
Annoyingly I have no notification sounds playing....phone isn't on silent and tone is setup but won't get anything when a message appears.
