Went to have a look at both of the big Telecom stores in Wellington, one had the display unit AWOL, the other I couldn't get near, and they'd only received 2 units of each colour for sale. Maybe I can see one next week.

i said above, it was for Flybuys "VIP" members, and it was emailed out yesterday to those applicable.

On a off chance i went into Noel Leemings today and managed to score a Black Note 3 32GB (at tommorows promo price) ;)

Can I please ask how much was it at cost + 7.5%?

I paid 1056$ for 32gb black from NL using that discount. Hopefully the sales guy was honest ;)

I think he was, I just called NL and ask them through the phone they told me 1056 as well.

I was hoping it would be cheaper.

I will have to wait for 20% off and take to warehouse stationery for further 5% off.

Too poor atm ^^

Yes labour day isn't that far for that 20% thing. Mind you though their policy is price beat on competition and price match if its part of the same group and noel leeming is now under the same umbrella so you may not get extra 5%.

Back in May I got Warehouse Stationery to beat by 5% on something Noel Leeming sold, I dont think that is a problem.

Yes, Noel Leeming and Warehouse Stationery is part of the same group, however from a business entity perspective they are two separate entity.

By nature is the free open market they are competitors of each other regardless if they are owned by same group or not.

Thats how I see it, feel free to correct me wrong anyone (those business or law guru's)

I had this issue last week when I asked a warehouse stationery to beat noel leeming price but they only matched it giving me the reasons I mentioned above. I hope they do beat it when I get this phone so may try a different store.

Picked up a 32gb in black from telecom store in northlands mall (chch) last night.

Only had short play but the screen really impresses as does the in hand feel with the squarer sides.

If sammy continue in a similar vein with the note series ill be a starter for a note 4 come the time. Id go so far as to say from now on the note series will out sell the S series from year to year.

I dont think the youtube app is playing 1080p even over wifi - certainly looks very very soft compared to playing the same stuff on the PC or smart tv.

Other than that, I am quite happy with the phone. Nice to be able to multitask ;)

Any idea on when the accessories are likely to get released for the Note 3? After a flip type wallet but cant find any anywhere even trade me.

After purchasing I was worried it was going to be to big but the size is fine in the hand and pocket.

What do you guys think of the upcoming HTC One Max? I'm really torn on whether to get the Note 3 or the Max. Owned both previous Notes so was wanting a different feel, but after testing the Note 3 for a few days, I really like it.

Plus, have heard a few complaints about the current HTC One.

Max has rubbish specs. It's the HTC One with a bigger screen. Note 3 will blow it out of the water.
