Returns is very good and generally easy, especially if you can prove you've been sent counterfeit goods (contact Spigen directly and ask them if they partner with PROGadgets).

I just had some comms from One NZ about Vo-WIFI / WIFI Calling.

"We only enabled 5G and VoLTE on the following products in June:

•       Pixel 6

•       Pixel 6Pro

•       Pixel 6a

•       Pixel 7

•       Pixel 7 Pro

•       Pixel 7a

At the moment, we don’t VoWiFi on pixel devices, but are having conversations to see if this can be added in future."

so One NZ are looking into enabling Vo-WIFI, so could just be a matter of time. also the Pixel 8 series would use the similar modem firmware as the 7 series, so would suspect 5G, VoLTE, will be fine on one nz.

Wow that's awesome to see an official response for 5G and voLTE on One.

Nice to know they are looking at VoWifi and hopefully that comes with SMS as usual on One🤞

I've bought one outright from Optus, they are $100 cheaper than RRP and includes a free pixel watch 2. It is shipped to my cousin's place in Queensland and I'm visiting her in Dec.

Sounds perfect but Optus ships it via "airlock" package. It will require the exact person on the address to sign, otherwise they won't hand it over, not even your wife or mom. It is now sitting in a Aus post office waiting for collection and they only hold it for 10 days before returning to sender. I'll get my cousin to do a collection authorisation form and try to collect it for me though an authorised collection is not supposed to be possible for an airlock package. Fingers crossed.

Ah lucky! Mines held up at DHL for customs clearance, I had to provide my customs client code today (lucky I had it save from the last time I got a pixel phone shipped here)
Hopefully they'll release it soon!

Mine is sitting at my friend's house in Australia, waiting for DHL to collect it. Do I have to apply for a customs client number then? I wonder if I have one already, I do get things sent in fairly regularly but I don't remember having one before.

Looks like the info / application is here.

I looked on the Optus site and could not find this deal. Do you have any links?

Thanks

I had this lovely message from ASB on Saturday

"We blocked a 1,637.00 NZD charge on your ASB card ending in xxxx. Tap on the bell icon in FastNet Classic or ASB Mobile to let us know if this was you."

Latest update from Amazon UK regarding my order is

"Not yet dispatched
We'll e-mail you when available."

Nice of ASB to be so security conscious, but I'd have preferred a quick phone call or text from them instead of just declining the payment.

Muppets.
