Did you wiggle your finger on the sensor when you set it up? Mine works flawlessly.

yellow15: How do you guys find the fingerprint scanner ?
I find it works very well most of the time, quick and phone unlock before I can bring it up. But then some time it doesn't work at all even after all 5 or 6 attempts. It's almost like if the first attempt failed then the next few would fail as well no matter what I do.
II have tried re-setup fingers can a few times and in different way but result is the same

I've had no problems with mine. If it fails, it's usually because I haven't hit it properly with my finger.

On the subject of fingerprint reading, I read about someone who found that the scanner wasn't quite in the right place for his large fingers. So he scanned his main finger in about 4 places down the length of it. Apparently prints on other sections of your finger work just as well as the tips. Then as he used it over time, Android learnt and improved the recognition so that he was eventually able to scan practically anywhere on his finger without having to find the sensor with his fingertip. I'm going to try this.

No i didn't wiggle,
am I suppose to wiggle?

I've tried re-train it a few times... each time i tried slightly different way of touching the scanner.

When it works (most of the time) it works really well. No matter how I touch it, and what angle or even upside down is all good.

But sometimes it just doesn't work, as if there is some oil/dirt on my finger/scanner then renders it completely un-useable...

but trying it again few minutes later in exactly the same way and it works like a champ.

Just got my "SuperShieldz" tempered glass screen prorectors today only to find that they do not have a cutout for the proximity sensor which means that the screen goes black as soon as you make a call and there is no way back in until the call is ended.

Very disappointed. I ordered them before the 6P was available so there were no reviews.

Does anyone recommend a glass protector which works for the 6P?

PBTech have Spigen ones listed on their site...but showing zero stock, might pop in and have a look once there are some instore. Shame about the cutout for the proximity sensor on the one you brought...how annoying

It does seem very odd, the more I think about it. @MattEast and I are in the exact same boat. Looks to me like Google are marking the package as shipped, but something has happened inbetween, hence the no tracking number scenario. Either that or some dodgy shipping employee has decided that they need a nice new case for their Nexus 6P.

I've also spoken to Toll and they were actually great about it. Considering my lack of a tracking number I was still able to find out that there are no outstanding deliveries in my area, so the thing is MIA somewhere between here and Hong Kong. Hopefully my new order will arrive this time and who knows, the first one might one day wash ashore here as well!

I ended up just cancelling the order, although technically you can't cancel ones the item has shipped - so I just filled in the return form and put in the comments that I can't return something that never arrived. Received an email back the next day confirming the $39 was credited back to my account. They didn't seem surprised - or didn't even enquire into checking with neighbours etc to see if it had been delivered there so guessing it was a fairly regular occurrence with that case. Be interested to hear what the case is like if anyone did actually receive it (it was the ADOPTED protective case)

merve0o0: Anybody successfully use semble with the 6P. I tried it today and no go. I suspect it's because Google pay is set to always on. But I see no way to turn I totally off.

Semble does not work on Nexus 6P or 6 (and probably others)

One like the "Universal 15W USB Type-C charger" which isn't yet available from Google Store.

Thanks, yes so did mine - but I was wanting to grab another spare one to have at work.

2degrees don't sell them separately, and in fact, I'm struggling to find anywhere that does.

I suppose you could use a Macbook charger to do this, however that would be a fairly expensive way of getting a second charger - I guess as more and more phones/tablets adopt this standard then they will become readily available

I have a 12W iPad cahrger at home. I will try it to see if it does "fast charging". It may be that we just need a higher wattage charger.
