Have they removed it?? I was expecting the prices to be iPhone level though which makes it hard to justify

PBTech:

Too expensive for me unfortunately would be good as I use my Nexus 6P for work everyday, maybe I can sell my 6P for like $500 then I could get it.

I'm waiting for after exams

Also I'm also waiting for more cases come out, specifically one that's an ultra thin semi-transparent TPU case (e.g. like the ones from Peel and CaliCase)

bikinibottom100: So you have the 32 GB or 128 GB pixel? Or is it the Pixel XL? Colour?

Sorry, I think you mentioned it in an earlier post but just making sure.

Hi It's a Pixel XL Black 32GB. Box and all accessories included. I'll include postage anywhere in NZ not RD.

sorry, 32GB is nowhere near enough for me ...

They offer unlimited storage of photos so you dont apparently need much room here.

Wow that price is punishing.

At the end of the day it's only $20 more than the equivalent storage/size iPhone but still hard to swallow. I know it's nothing new but the same model in the good ol' US of A comes in at $1200 NZD, while we're closer to $1700 NZD :(
To make it worse American's are getting free Chromecasts + $100 gift card from Best Buy or Daydream VR vouchers from Google Store direct with each Pixel purchase.
Finally, I notice PBTECH are only offering a 1 year warranty for the pixel (unlike the 6P (and maybe 5X?), which came with a 2 year warranty). I guess this is a hardware manufacturer decision?

Seems like neither Vodafone, Spark, or 2Degrees intend to stock the product, and all the Google reps I've spoken to have been pretty cagey about it's release here... perhaps due to all the stock issues being reported?

I feel as though Google would be better to deal with in the event of a warranty claim, but they offered me this confusing answer;

"Pixel and Pixel XL devices purchased from third-party or from Google Store are eligible for Standard Exchange at this time. I'd however advise you to opt for a purchase from Google Store, as you'll become eligible even for an advance replacement."

Ive turned off from looking now. I want to replace my note 5, but other than the pixel, there's few competitive options. Thinking of waiting for the s8 instead.the x compact is tempting too but no point.

It's not that vodafone, spark, 2degrees really had a chance to get it, Google gave exclusive rights to telstra for AU/NZ (yes I know they are not in NZ but google gave it to them anyway).

My sentiments exactly. To sum up GSM ... it's a good phone, but priced too high.
