what model numbers are th devices?
Mine is model number VNS-L22 and build number VNS-L22C706B362 (2degrees). Still not being offered the January security update.
My 2degrees P9 Lite just offered me the latest update.
nickt: FWIW I have a 2degrees P10 lite that is still on the July 2017 security patches. It has had an update or two, and 2degrees promised a Krack fix around Xmas but nothing has actually arrived. Pretty poor and I'm very unlikely to touch a Huawei or carrier controlled updates again.
I took a look at my P10 Lite (secondary phone) and managed to install an update to 1st January 2018 security patch (first patch received after purchasing the phone)
So my "cheap" phone is now doing better than my LGG6 which is stuck on November security
nickt: Interesting, still nothing found here. I'll leave it on to see if it finds anything by itself because mashing the Check for Updates button isn't.
Anyone know if there are any requirements like a 2degrees SIM installed rather than using WiFi?
Go to the menu (top right, three dots) and download full package, that was how I got it to recognise there was an update
Check for updates gave me nothing
I did not have a SIM in the device, just over WiFi
:/
Update came in this afternoon.
EVA-L09C706383 - 422MB - Update adds 3D panorama mode in Camera and a recycle bin in Gallery.
Uh, thanks, I guess...
Well, this was unexpected. (I've heard rumours of a planned Q3 release outside of China)

Wow, that'd be nice. I might have to work out how to get off my dead end ROM which never gets any updates and onto the Oreo release. There are procedures on XDA Developers but they're always so high level as they're written by people who know this backwards and forwards.
New update VNS-L22C706B365 available today on my 2degrees P9 Lite. Contains security updates to May 2018
my sons P8 lite just got an update today, first one in a year or so.
Common sense is not as common as you think.
My P9 had an update over the weekend

Looks like P9 isn't getting Oreo after all.
When I get around to it I'll probably try to get my P9 which is on 6.0 and March 2016 patches up to Android 7... once I have a backup phone in case I brick it. Anyone done that? XDA has guides but they're all written by experts who make a lot of assumptions and skip steps they think are trivial. Even after putting new OS's on two phones and two tablets it looks like a PITA.
