I have been busy and must admit I haven't looked too much at this thread, was there a consensus on who had the best overall outright buy deal right now or best with a plan deal?

I want the S22 Ultra 256Gb

Samsung seems the best deal, $200 off using GALAXYS22 in the cart,5% rewards which will be about $100 on the ultra, and $500 of accessories you can add when checking out. They will also match this in store if you go in and they might have day 1 stock if you do that.

In case anyone is interested, it Looks like NZ should be getting pre-installed screen protectors again according to Samsungs live chat today:

"Yes, the Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a pre-installed screen protector. "

I'd heard some reports of other regions not getting them this time and had been trying to decide if I wanted to find a day-one protector or just getting brave and going with a naked screen on a new phone...

I can confirm they are not going to come with pre installed screen protectors.

Source? 😛

Interestingly, I've seen reports of preorders already been delivered in Europe and getting shipped in the US.

Samsung is best deal i got S22 ultra 256gb with $200 voucher & $500 accessories voucher got galaxy watch 4 for $529 on valentines special I think normally $649, plus rewards and free delivery .Pb tech specials didn't need and would need to sell on trade me such a hassle, plus they charge delivery fee. So $1929 all up for phone and watch and still have to do trade in perhaps $100 to $300 depending which phone I do ,so am very happy for update from my note 10+and just wait for delivery at least time to organize case and screen protector.

I have one in my hand right now. Won't go into how/why but take it from me. 100% not coming with a SP

Well that's a bummer. The pre-installed ones were better when using a pen (less resistance & less tacky than normal TPU screen protector) & helped prevent micro scratches on the phone itself. They also didn't interfere with the fingerprint scanner. Tempered glass ones can make the fingerprint scanner unusable at worst and much less reliable at best, plus they are cumbersome to apply on a curved screen and seem to fail quite quickly. (In my experience anyway). Plus they sometimes interfere with how the case fits & really reduce screen sensitivity.

So I guess you have a choice between having a bare screen & no issues with resistance when using the pen, no probs with the fingerprint scanner, & not probs with case fit, BUT no protection from scratches. Or, protecting the screen from scratches and ending up with lost functionality.

Thanks for confirming that restecp.

I usually just get the mall phone shops to put one on for me for about $30 and comes with 6month warranty (if it peels or bubbles later on they replace it for free). I'm a hopeless at putting on new SP, always bubbles - especially the film ones that we need to work well with the finger print sensor..

All goody,

I'm trying a screen protector on mine atm which is made by Zagg and it's absolutely fine. Granted it's a Note20 ultra one but it fits very well.

No issues with using it with S-Pen and little to no resistance.

I always have an SP on my phone.
