I do have to say the bixby call option is fun.  When you get a call you can get bixby to answer it and you can see what people are saying and answer via bixby.  This seems to pee off the scammers as well and they just end up hanging up. Other people dont know what to do so say some random stuff and then hang up :)

XinfinityoO: Anyone used samsung tradein and how was the experience

It depends.. Have you tried to use the app to get a price?
If you got a price offer from it, you should hopefully be OK.
If not..
It's absolutely useless.
I spent over 2 weeks trying to buy an S22 Ultra from the deal that finished just after Christmas. I was going back and forth via email with the trade in company while they requested this info and that info about my phone (S21 Ultra) to be told that it should work fine. It didn't, so they told me they'll look into it further and come back. 2 unanswered follow up emails after that, the promotion finished and I have no new phone. Even complaining to Samsung went no where. Just brushed off with they can't do anything about the trade in as it is the different place that manages it.
Of course, I try it now and it works.. but I get $500 less than I would have got with the offer that I wanted.
On a side note, they offered me a10% discount code, which I asked if it had an expiry to be told no it doesn't.. I go to use it just over 2 weeks later and guess what.. It doesn't work anymore.
At this point I gave up and still have my old phone 🤷‍♂️

I'm sure others have had good experiences though, I imagine it depends whether the app gives you an offer at the start 🙂

I just did it and it was fine, the $719 is on my account.  I preorered through PB tech and then traded in via the web site.  Only issue was that PB tech use a standard IMIE for the pre orders which the trade in web site did not accept.  I emialed them and it was sorted out.

I didn't trade in my old note 20 as it's worth $500 on trade me.  I treaded in an old iphone 8 which was worth $719.  Always trade in the oldest thing that gets the boost even if you have to buy a phone on trademe.

I used the trade-in feature to upgrade to the S23. I traded in both an S10e and an S22, and with all the bonuses and free stuff, ended up paying less than $400 for the S23 with a couple of cases and screen protectors.

My biggest complaint with the S22 was the battery life - it could barely last a day! The S23 batter life has been noticeably better - a couple times it's lasted easily for a day and a half without charging. Apart from the battery, I haven't noticed any other differences with the S22, but it was worth spending the money to get the massive increase in battery life.

Just out of interest, is anyone else still waiting for their accessories to arrive from Samsung NZ? Over 1 month after my phone arrived I've still got no accessories..

I got a case, screen protector and 2 smart tags on my order and everything came together with the phone.

Might pay to email them

Thanks installed on my 2D phone.

I wish Sammy would share more useful notes as to what's updated than the standard copy and paste 😅

Has anyone run into the banana gate issues on their s23?

I take a lot of photos of text so wonder if I should opt for a different phone.

Never heard of "banana gate". What is it? I don't really want to search those terms at work so... lol
