anecdotally from some blogs online: "So an update containing several bug-fixes and other system enhancements, including signal strength from carrier providers, WiFi connection stability, battery improvements and among other stuff beyond the Android platform."

nothing major

what IS major, is that Chainfire and others in the dev community have figured out a way to bypass the Knox eFUSE flag on the international Note 3 models... which means, non-warranty-voiding ROOT access for everyone! yahoo!

details here:

this is why i love the android ecosystem :)

Is it a pb tech import or an official import from pb? To many Horror stories about their warranty to want to risk one they import themselves.

Heya, I had to register just to let you know the following.

PB Tech had the 999 inc GST sale. Only stock was in Penrose (I live north shore). Was a bit worried about the whole 'where is it imported from/officially..' So popped into Noel Leeming in Wairau and they matched the price as well as offered an extended warranty cheap.

So ya, took the deal and love the phone! XD. - heard there are lots of sales on for labour again around same price.

One gripe I had was the really average grid size, did not find a stock way to increase it so had to download and purchase nova launcher which is cool any ways. (stock grid size is like 5 down by 4 across.... (in home screens)

Mine arrived today - can't wait to have a play.  I haven't found any phone covers - can anyone recommend anywhere,  I opted for white knowing the white back will do my head in with dirt but look cool on the front. Any ideas? thks

Noel Leeming list the official Samsung accessories (some of them anyway). Not all held in stock, and those that are still seem to be in low volumes. Of course the prices are as expected for branded accessories.

been to two Noel Leemings to look for the geniune back covers (all listed in stock on the website) and nothing in the store, and staff had no clue they were showing anything. dont know why i was surprised.

JB Hifi has genuine screen protectors (that fit perfectly btw, you get a pair for $29) but nothing else so far. parallel import stores have crap knockoff leather wallet case things that are huge and ungainly. other than that, havent found anything anywhere.

This appears to be be typical for any accessories for any "exotic" phone in NZ
Same problem trying to get accessories for the Lumia 1020 for example

id be keen to try this out on the Note3 if they release an updated size - ive noticed slightly higher resistance and inconsistent friction with the SPen after applying my plastic screen protector

I got a tempered glass screen protector for my s4 from a phone repair shop in the mall. It was called 'Explosion proof tempered glass screen protector'

Easy to put on and feels great, no bubbles and doesn't scratch easy

Definitely get one

Mine wasn't a proper brand and costed about $30

Definitely recommended
