Well my ute handsfree sounds better apparently and the voice recognition definitely works better.
I don't do huge miles, but 33k a year and alot out of radio coverage means that's important for me.
Otherwise it's been sweet, I'm a fan.

KiwiT: One thing i have found is in poor signal location i work sometimes i turn mobile data of to save battery. Doing this today i still get a 4G indication in the bar but at least ask the apps say no data.

That's odd, I don't get the same issue. Disabling data removes the 4G symbol for me.

One thing that is super fast now compared to 5.1.1 is when using the dial pad, i type a contact name and is searches the contacts list for those 3 or 4 letter combo's. Usually I had to wait a few seconds for results. Now i get results before i finish typing 4 characters.

I dont like the light top bar, wish there was a light/dark theme setting. White uses more battery power than black so i would prefer a dark theme.

My .02c.

I was wondering what this light top bar issue was, totally forgetting that I'm already running a theme. There are plenty of dark themes available to try, more than a few of which are free (Settings -> Themes -> More themes). I've tried Blak Ui, Night, Material Dark, LuxModan, Dark Mint and Grace Ui (according to My themes!)

Ok so I am hoping someone else has this problem and can tell me how I can revert the behaviour of my device since 6.01 was installed.

My email client (Exchange) keeps... not updating. Also things like Clash of Clans, used to stay "working" in the background for a few minutes before shutting down.

I believe it's something to do with Doze and data connections, throttling per hour or something. I need to get my email client working the way it was before.

Anyone else having this problem who has a fix?

I use Touchdown HD & Gmail to access our work exchange server. Gmail calendar has timezone issues, otherwise all good.

Appears to be the inbuilt "email" app only.

Touchdown HD ( symantec ), has really nice alerts, you can set your work hours which is a big win over Gmail for me anyway.
Touchdown plays nice with global meeting invites to.
Can't say I'm keen on any of Samsung apps :)

Did it update the Android Security Patch Level? From 2 April, 2016? Also, thanks for the heads up, downloading now.

I have been on the 1st May for about 3 weeks on an optus handset.

Has anyone had much luck with custom roms for the note5? Worth the hassle?. Getting the 6 monthly upgrade itch and installing a rom may take that away for a while longer lol

First thing I did with my Note 5.

Check out the options here, but read carefully before diving in!

Eh, not really worth it anymore to be honest. I ran Viper ROM but once MM came out and I installed Good Lock it became a pointless thing to do.
