A mid month update.

Still on security patch 1 Jun 22.

The blurb says will need to update a bunch of Samsung apps once it’s done. (Nope, unless they’re still coming).

My phone has been a little unstable at times, requiring a hard reboot. Hopefully this will address that.

And another small one today. Not quite sure what’s going on.

oops. Missed that, thanks.

It took very little time to download, but a while to install.

Yes, I was surprised as well. I was late to bed and saw a message saying "Updated downloaded" and thought it was strange having installed another one just last week or so. I don't remember another OEM installing a security update during the same month it was released and not this fast after a previous update. Good stuff.

Interesting, my Fold3 has been solid, with no reboots or restarts for weeks.

+1 on the wife's VF Fold3.

My wife had been complaining of the touch sensitivity/responsiveness (lack thereof) on the Fold main screen.

She sometimes would have to tap on the screen several times for an app to open or, she'd get no response on the screen in the middle of a playing slot machine game for example.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

I will see how she gets on after this latest update.

Thanks for the heads up on the update. Am on the road so needed to find a reliable unlimited wifi connection because the download is 1.5Gb (plus 900Mb for my Galaxy Watch as well).

Some of what it showed as updated for 4.1.1 was already available via Good Lock and “Labs” on the ZFold3. So many new features. I wonder how many of them I will try once then leave, or not even try at all.….

The screen protector on my inner screen started lifting along the fold line. The screen was still fully functional and just unsightly in an OCD kind of way. I registered my phone with Samsung NZ when I got it, partly because of the replacement guarantee that was offered.

So I took my ZF3 along to the Samsung Service Centre in Albany. The protector was replaced free of charge as it was the first replacement. Future replacements cost $50 for the inner screen and $30 for the front screen. They have a machine specifically to install the protectors to ensure the quality of the installation and the new protector looks, well, new. They did it while I waited (approx 20 minutes).

So good having the service centre ‘local’.
